TOP CHEF

The 25th of November was a very special evening for the students of Advanced 4 at ALC-Tangier. Advanced 4 teacher Anisa Sahibdeen organized an ALC TOP CHEF competition judged by American students from Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire.
Five teams had to cook two international sandwiches in just one hour. Each team chose a sandwich of a specific country: Turkey, Germany, Mexico, etc., and had prepared the ingredients in advance.
Music, laughter, and dance contributed to a convivial ambiance. The eight judges talked to each team about the recipes, the preparation that went into them, and the inspiration behind their creations. The sandwiches were all delicious and the presentations were very creative, but as it was a competition , the judges had to choose one of the five teams . In the end, it was team number three, composed of Omaïma Moqaddem and Samia Fassi, that won the competition with a Turkish shawarma and a sweet pepper German hamburger.
In fact, all the students were winners. Many thanks to Anisa for giving us a wonderful opportunity to meet and to speak to visiting American students as well as to learn how to work as a team toward a creative goal. We're sure that none of us will forgot this delightful occasion.
